This meeting was spent having all 1/12 scale teams. This presentation covered topics mentioned in the previous blog post. In summary this presentation provided the CAD model of Prototype 1. Prototype 1 was meant to serve as a place holder with dimensions larger than needed to let the 1/12 scale teams room to figure out how they want to configure the internal parts of the cabin. Then more accurate dimensions will be made for prototype 2. Prototype 2 will incorporate alternatives covered in the presentation. Before printing is made, the better of the two alternative models for prototype 2 will chosen based on aerodynamic analysis in solidworks.
Future steps are covered in the Gantt chart and timely progression of it is dependent on the fellow 1/12th scale teams to get their parts fitted in the cabin and a 3D printing source. Contingency plans include estimating dimensions, finding new 3D printing sources, and helping 1/12 scale teams if needed.
