On August 30th of last week, we had our first official meeting at the Spartan Superway complex. Here we got introduced to the project by BJ Furman and Eric Hagstrom and were shown around the complex and see how far the project has gone. As the class toured around, we were informed objectives and goals for this year. Currently the Superway has a 1/12, 1/2, full scale projects. After the tour, the rest of the class session was spent assorting us into groups and I was paired with Kaelan Song to work on the 1/12 scale cabin design that could possibly be implemented for the full scale model. We are the first group of this kind for this project so Kaelan and I will be laying the groundwork for future students that will work on the cabin design.
At this point, the cabin design is to be aesthetically pleasing and able to hold the battery and other electronic components in organized compartments.
