3/21-3/28 Meeting

Over the week, the print has run into some technical issues. Youseffi reviewed our model and began printing. The first print caused an incomplete print and the cabin was not hollowed out. Kaelan went on to talk to outside sources to see what is wrong with the eDrawing file. Until a solution is found, printing progress has been halted.


3/28 - Spring Break
Over break Kaelan was able to find the issues with the eDrawing and a third party was able to successfully print the model. At this point, the controls and bogey team will be allowed to use the model next week and any necessary changes will be made.

3/14 Meeting

This week was spent listening to the presentation in E189 that took up the whole period. But after, the team agreed to meet with the print shop, Yousseffi, and Viswanathan over the week to begin the printing

3/7 Meeting

This meeting we were able to procure 3 printing sources that confirmed they will be able to do our first print free. Our printing sources will be Professor Viswanathan, Professor Yousseffi, and the Machine Shop. Because of this and our limited budget, Kaelan and I decided to make our final model today. The model was finished at the end of class and sent for printing.

2/28 Meeting

This week's meeting had the remainder of the Superway teams present their Presentation 1's. After them, the cabin team came together to discuss our new 3D printing source. We contacted Yousseffi again to see if he was willing to make time for us but he still has not gotten back to us. I personally plan on visiting him on office hours and see if he can be one of our backup sources. As for our new 3D printing source, we have approached the campus' Central Machine Shop who agreed to print our model. Right now they are awaiting Furman's approval before they begin printing.
